Dilwale finds a place in SRK's diary ahead of Raees
Rahul Dholakia's Raees, produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, is running late. The film will not go on floors for five months at least from now.
Dholakia has built a set resembling Ahmedabad of 1970, packed with mini, colourful havelis and tiny bylanes. The set which went into construction in December is fully ready.
So why wait for four-five months? A source close to the film says, "SRK now plans to start Raees only in September after he wraps up his multi-starrer home production Dilwale which is due in Christmas this year."
King Khan was supposed to start shooting Raees in February in Ahmedabad followed by an extensive schedule in Mumbai. But that plan went kaput, thanks to Maneesh Sharma's intense schedule for Yash Raj's Fan that extended from Mumbai to Delhi and then to Croatia and is currently in progress in London.
Adds the source, "Raees is scheduled for Eid 2016, hence it was convenient to push Raees and not Dilwale."
